 In holistic counselling we have deep conversations about your complete self. This whole person concept takes into account various aspects of you.  For example, your relationships, thoughts, emotions, breathing, childhood, memories, social system, mental stresses, self-beliefs, emotional blockages, physical ailments, spiritual beliefs and more.

My Approach to Holistic Counselling

The word holistic itself means that parts of something are so intricately linked that it can only be fully understood by referring to it as a whole. Therefore, looking at one malfunctioning part in isolation cannot tell you the full story, until all other parts are also investigated.

This is the same philosophy that is used in holistic counselling. In holistic counselling we have deep conversations about your complete self. This whole person concept takes into account various aspects of you.  For example, your relationships, thoughts, emotions, breathing, childhood, memories, social system, mental stresses, self-beliefs, emotional blockages, physical ailments, spiritual beliefs and more.

For example, you may be falling ill or catching colds constantly. In such cases, you may be prescribed cold tablets each time to cure the symptoms. As your holistic counselor, I will assess your beliefs, practices, environmental factors, relationships, mental resilience  and many more aspects of yourself to understand the reason behind your unreliable immune system. All aspects of your being is gently investigated to provide lasting change with the issues that you are facing.

Your external world is a mirror of your internal world. So in these sessions, we aim to gain an in depth awareness of your subconscious mind, unconscious mind and emotional pain body.  This will allow us to recalibrate both your inner and outer worlds to be aligned, giving you balance and contentment.

The act of sharing and voicing your issues is in itself a cathartic process which can bring about releases for you. I use Somatic therapy, Psychotherapy, talk therapy and Getalt Therapy in these sessions. Many times, clients explore the deeper issues of their life’s purpose, the meaning of their existence or their modes of operation in the world. 

In gaining a deeper awareness of the subconscious thinking patterns and beliefs that you hold,  you can make more conscious decisions going forward. This is extremely helpful in assisting you to understand your patterned behaviours and saboteurs. This will allow the fragmented parts of yourself to be reunited, bringing you towards wholeness and integration.
